They were running very late last night. The 10PM show didn't start until 11PM because the 8PM show wasn't even over until 10:15, and to accomplish that, they had to cut out the encore. All in all, two great shows. The first, all ages show, wasn't crowded at all. Plenty of room to sit on the floor and stretch out. The crowd was very attentive. The second, 21 and over show was packed and the crowd was very loud. Add to that five solid hours of a disco ball (at Linford's request, leading to some new, disco-ball specific lyrics in Jack's Valentine). The setlist was pretty similar to the ones that have been happening lately, with the addition of a brand new song, which is so new, it doesn't even have a title yet (refered to as "New Song" on the setlist). In a completely selfish maneuver, I ducked the very long line for the second show by talking to Linford (thanks again). I got a couple nuggets of information. I apologize if I wasn't supposed to mention any of this, but Linford didn't seem to act like this info should neccesarily be secret (most of this came from questions I asked, so I take his willingness to answer as a sign that this isn't completely top secret info). -They have auditioned potential new members, but no one has been chosen yet (I was wondering if there had been a new line up ready to go, but which was just being held back to be unveiled to a hometown crowd). -Terri Templeton (who sang with Karin at last year's Emery show) is moving back to Cincinnati and he said they are looking forward to working with her some more. -The Bogart's show being the day before the Rhinelander Gathering was just a stroke of luck, and not by specific design. -The live album is being shelved for this year. There are so many other things on the agenda, that they're putting it off. -(on a personal note) They will someday finally record Little Blue River. On that day, I will be overjoyed beyond words.
