Thought I would give you the details of the Canal Street show.
It was a sold-out show, as always. Jayne Sachs (minus band) was the
opener, and she was really great. This was the first time i've been to a
show where the audience asked the opener for one more song.
Canal Street was the first show I'd seen with Mike "the new
guy", and I must admit, i was a little worried at the idea of a new
person. Looking back, I don't know why my faith was shaky-- the show was
wonderful, and Mike was wonderful-- i think he fits right in, and the
concert totally rocked. Karin was wondering how they will fit six
people on that tiny stage next time. Anyone have any guesses as to who
the two new people will be?
We were treated to "Little Blue River" --still waiting waiting
and hoping for that one to be recorded, i guess it'll remain a rare
concert gem for now. The band played a really long set, ending with
three or four new songs. I should have made a note-- one song (which
Karin played solo) was called "It's Never Quite What it Seems", another
that Linford mentioned wanting to call "Goodbye" and then one or two
more (sorry, my memory fails me). K&L played "Rhapsodie" for the
encore-- i love the added beginning to that -- just when i thought the
song couldn't be any more beautiful...
