LOCATION: Caffe Milano, Nashville, TN
LINEUP: Brian, Linford, Karin, Mike, Terri
REVIEW BY: Scott Johnson
There is only one word I can use to describe the Milano show - Glamorous. The setting could have been a jazz club in Manhattan or any upscale night spot in Chicago. The band looked and felt like they were in true form. I have to say that Terry (Terri?) adds a bit of this glamour to the group. Her voice is magnificent. I'd like to hear the band exploit that talent a little more (i.e. on Mary's Waltz, Fall on Me, Silent Night and some others). The band has not had the time to learn all the songs that people wanted to hear. On the setlist that I got Rhapsodie was marked out. Too bad. But Cast Me Away/And Can it Be was absolutely marvelous! And the jam on the end of June (solos by Linford then Mike) clearly showed their talent. If it is possible I would love to get a copy of that show on tape. I don't know if anyone taped it from the audience, but the band tapes every show on DAT I know. They are probably not in the habit of giving tapes out, though. If anyone has any information on getting a tape of this show I would be extremely interested. The sound was perfect.
