REVIEW BY: Alanna Price

i dragged a few friends from new york down to the philadelphia area via
greyhound to see my favourite (and, now that they've seen 'em, probably my
friends' favourite too) band at the PAPA festival at Eastern College. we
waded through and afternoon of some rather diverse music, some bands
better than others, and through a fabulous rainstorm to see OtR finish
off the fest. we sat in the front row with some torches pushing ash on us
and a worm's-eye view of the band.

it was a five-piecer, with gordon-jack (from what i heard; correct me if
i'm wrong on this)unfortunately stuck in england due to visa problems.
but the five of them managed quite nicely. this was my first time seeing
them w/ the new lineup and it would have been great to see the _whole_ new
lineup, but i'll be grateful for what i did get to see.

karin handed me a set list at the end, with DUCT TAPE on it (o i could not
be happier), so here it is, as linford wrote it:

Bothered
Faithfully Dangerous
The Seahorse
Summertime
All I Need is Everything
Poughkeepsie [this was inserted with other handwriting -- karin's? all
        caps]
Orphan Girl
June
Lucy
Paul and Virginia [linford says: 'if you'd like to get up and sway gently
with someone...' and karin says: 'if that's okay here, is that okay
        here???']
Jack's Valentine
Latter Daze (his spelling)
Goodbye

Encore:
Cast Me Away
And Can It Be

it blew me away. i think the general audience (mostly consisting of wet
and chilled students) were all quite happy, judging from the response...
everyone had been gradually moving closer and closer to the stage
throughout the set, and by the end we everyone was huddled up very
close, making new friends, maybe for warmth as well as visual and aural
advantage. i know they made a good number of new fans, and i had the
pleasure of introducing a few new people to the band... they were (of
course) enthralled. and those of us who were already fans were swooning.
